Powder Coating

Our automatic powder coating line consists of an automated washing & pretreatment area where parts are cleaned prior to coating. Parts then enter a drying  area to remove moisture prior to coating. The automated coating booth uses multiple electrostatic coating guns to apply a positively charged dry      powder material to the grounded parts as they pass by. A manual coating booth is also available for smaller production runs or for larger items. Once parts   are coated, they go into a curing oven, where the powder coating is cured and becomes the final coating.

Powder coating typically produces a coating twice as thick as standard paint. Advantages include its flexibility and ability to bend and yield with the  material it is applied to. Powder coated products have the most attractive, durable, high-quality finish available. The powder coating process itself offers  another advantage - it is environmentally friendly and virtually pollution-free. Unlike liquid paint, no solvents are used in powder coating, so only negligible amounts of  VOCs are released into the air. In addition, unused or over-sprayed powder can be recovered, so any waste is minimal and can be disposed of easily and safely.
